Fine Dining in Juba

I had my official housewarming last Thursday with a dinner for my friends.

The scene was set:

(Sound Effects: Buena Vista Social Club playing in the background)

G&Ts and Red Wine (of the non-box variety!) were served.

Dinner was cooked.

The menu consisted of pilau rice with roasted vegetables:

Butternut squash and halloumi:

(The butternut squash was courtesy the Minister of Agriculture’s garden)

And for dessert, we had apple crumble.

But we ate all of it before I had a chance to take a picture.

So who said fine dining was not possible in Juba?
