When you don’t have a postal service…

…Contact your missing employees by taking out a half page advertisement in the newspaper (Juba Post, 28/09 – 05/10/2011):
I mean, I know a postal system is still non-existent in South Sudan (on that note, there is a Ministry of Postal Services? Really? Doing what?), but surely there is an easier/more efficient/cheaper way of trying to contact your missing employees? Phone, E-Mail….

But good on them for still giving them 7 days to return after more than 3 months of having “absented themselves.”

Or are they really? The advert on the second half of the page reads as follows:

Yup, there are exactly five posts up for grabs in the same Ministry. Closing Date: Monday. Coincidence?
